Welcome to the Family: Tabletop Inn Joins the Asheville Bed & Breakfast Association

We love discovering hidden gems tucked into the mountains of Western North Carolina — and Tabletop Inn in Marion is exactly that. We are thrilled to welcome Grace and Mike as the newest members of the Asheville Bed & Breakfast Association, and we have a feeling you're going to love what they've created.

A Board Game Lover's Dream Come True

Ever wished you could have a sleepover at a board game café? That's the magic of Tabletop Inn. Nestled in the pristine foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, just 40 minutes from Asheville, this one-of-a-kind boutique B&B is the brainchild of two real-life board game designers who have poured their creativity, passion, and playfulness into every corner of their home. The result is something truly unlike anything else in our region.

Four Themed Rooms & 800+ Games to Explore

Four beautifully themed rooms — the Mountain Room, Bird Room, Garden Room, and Herb Room — each tell their own story through custom art, hand-painted murals, and curated game pairings. A library of over 800 games awaits you in the game room, alongside an Ironside gaming table, cozy seating, and just enough snacks to fuel a legendary game marathon. The house is filled with easter eggs and surprises that delight guests at every turn.

Breakfast Made from Scratch — Including the Butter

And then there's breakfast. Grace and Mike cook everything from scratch — yes, even the butter — serving up fresh, homemade morning meals that change daily. From Eggs Benedict to buttermilk pancakes with homemade whipped cream, breakfast at Tabletop Inn is an experience all its own.

A Perfect Fit for Western North Carolina

What makes Tabletop Inn such a perfect fit for ABBA is exactly what makes every member inn special: it's deeply personal, genuinely unique, and rooted in authentic hospitality. This is the kind of place that travelers remember long after they've checked out — and come back to again and again.

Whether you're a board game enthusiast planning a dream weekend, a couple looking for a cozy mountain retreat, or a family ready to unplug and reconnect over something fun, Tabletop Inn deserves a spot on your list.

Welcome, Grace and Mike. We're so glad you're here.

Get Outside

For outdoor adventurers, the surrounding area is a treasure trove. Stroll the paved Catawba Greenway, chase waterfalls at Tom's Creek Falls or Catawba Falls, or venture to Linville Gorge for dramatic views right along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Grandfather Mountain and Chimney Rock are both within an hour's drive.

Something's Always Happening

Marion also has a packed festival calendar year-round — highlights include the beloved WNC Bigfoot Festival (yes, Bigfoot is the official animal of the city!), the Mountain Glory Festival, the Livermush Festival, and a local Oktoberfest. Ask Grace and Mike what's happening during your stay — they'll point you in the right direction.

A Perfect Year to Visit — The Blue Ridge Parkway Turns 90

And here's one more reason 2026 is an extraordinary time to plan your Western North Carolina getaway: the Blue Ridge Parkway is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year. One of America's most beloved scenic drives winds right through the heart of this region, and after a remarkable recovery from Hurricane Helene, the Parkway is open and welcoming visitors once again — with more than 114 continuous miles fully accessible, including the Folk Art Center and Blue Ridge Parkway Visitor Center.
