Biltmore Estate
The Biltmore Estate, the largest privately owned home in America, is a must-see. This 250-room castle has original furniture and artifacts from the turn-of-the-century life of the Vanderbilt family. George Vanderbilt’s mansion was both opulent and innovative for its period and to this day remains unique.
Admission to the estate includes self-guided tours of the gardens, Antler Village and winery, and many shops and restaurants. You can take a self-guided audio tour and there are many different ticket options available.
Biltmore Estate Wining and Dining
There are several dining options that offer the field-to-table philosophy. And the winery has two distinctive wine tasting experiences: wines by the glass with light snacks and a complementary tasting.
Biltmore Estate Outdoor Adventures
If you want to truly explore the 8,000 acres of the estate, there are many different outdoor experiences. They include:
Visitors can also bring their own bikes and dogs are even allowed on many of their hiking trails.
