Welcome to Asheville Bed and Breakfast Association (“ABBA” or “Association”), a community of innkeepers devoted to providing exceptional experiences for their guests. We strive to promote the unique charm of Asheville and the WNC region. As a membership we collectively support and promote Association members for the purpose of improving the business performance of members.

About ABBA
The Asheville Bed & Breakfast Association (“ABBA” or the “Association”) is a collection of diverse Bed & Breakfasts located in Asheville, North Carolina and the surrounding area. We support each other in advancing the interests of our businesses. Our properties reflect the Association’s high standards by providing superior quality, ambiance, guest service, amenities, and outstanding host integrity and hospitality.
We advocate through collective marketing and advertising to attract guests to our properties when they travel to Asheville. We share best practices with regards to safety, food preparation, cleanliness, comfort, standard required amenities, and exterior appearance. Our Association has also partnered with local agencies to support charitable efforts in our community.
Membership Types
General Membership -
General Members are B&B Inns who have met all membership eligibility requirements in accordance with the By-Laws. No vote to approve membership by the Board of Directors is required to join the Association.
Associate Membership -
Associate Members are persons or business entities deemed to be of value or to offer potential benefit to the Association. Associate memberships shall be extended for the period of one (1) year by simple majority vote (one over half) of the Board of Directors.
Membership Eligibility
To qualify, your B&B must be:
1.) located within a fifty-mile radius from Asheville,
2.) having not less than four (4) nor more than twenty (20) units and
3.) capable of meeting or exceeding minimum qualifications for membership as stated in Section 3 of this Article 3 of the By-Laws (to be provided to prospective members).
Should an inn not meeting these requirements apply for membership, and upon recognition of any unique qualities benefitting the Association, these requirements may be waived by a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote by the Board present (or by proxy) at a general meeting.
Membership Fees and Dues
Membership dues are calculated annually and based on current membership divided equally by approved budget for the fiscal year.
