Create Your Own Bed & Breakfast "Trail" in Western North Carolina
Looking for an unforgettable way to explore the Blue Ridge Mountains? The Asheville Bed & Breakfast Association (ABBA) invites you to build your Bed & Breakfast Trail—an easy and fun way to experience the charm, scenery, and local flavor of our beloved region.
Start Your Adventure
Start your trail by choosing from any of our sixteen locally owned inns, all located in and around Asheville. Stay at two or more, and you’ll get to experience the unique personality of each inn and the community it calls home. Each B&B offers its own style—whether that’s a Victorian home in Asheville or a modern farmhouse in the mountains. All include a delicious breakfast and helpful tips from innkeepers who know the area best.

Explore the Local Scene
You might begin your stay in Asheville, where you can explore the Biltmore Estate or the River Arts District. Then, head out to nearby towns like Brevard, Waynesville, or Weaverville—each just a short drive away. You’ll find quiet nature walks, gardens, hiking trails, local art shops, and small-town charm at every stop.
What makes your Bed & Breakfast Trail special is the chance to slow down and experience the region through the eyes of locals. Innkeepers are happy to share ideas for day trips, local food spots, and off-the-beaten-path adventures—from hiking in Pisgah National Forest to grabbing a beer at one of WNC’s many breweries.

A Symbol of Resilience: Chimney Rock Reopens and Welcomes You Back to the Mountains
Chimney Rock State Park, one of Western North Carolina’s most iconic natural treasures, reopened on June 27, 2025—nine months after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. The storm left its mark, washing out trails and destroying the park’s main entrance bridge. However, with dedication and community spirit, the park has been beautifully restored. Its reopening marks more than just access to breathtaking views and winding trails—it’s a powerful symbol of resilience and community.
