A walk on the French Broad Greenway. Nothing screams The Notebook quite like that iconic lake scene. Take a trip down to the greenway for a peaceful stroll together, sit on the dock and stare lovingly into each other’s eyes. Head over to Carrier Park for a picnic by the river. Ask your innkeeper about the amazing picnic companies (like Asheville Picnic Company) that could help you gather your supplies.  

The Fun Time

Playing games together is a fun way to keep the spark lit. Head over to Wellplayed Board Game Cafe for some laughs together. 

Want a blast from the past? Head to the Asheville Pinball Museum, a museum dedicated to pinball machines with over 75+ machines that you can play! Take a ride on the La Zoom comedy bus tour for some side splitting laughs. 

The Classic

Before your dinner plans with free dessert from our “Paint the Month Red” package, indulge in a foot rubbing, hot tub soaking, scalp massaging good time. Wake Foot Sanctuary can help with that and Shoji Spa & Retreat will set the mood with their salt hydrotherapy tubs, a serene setting in the woods. 

The Sweetie Pie

Gush over all the cute animals at the WNC Nature Center. Yes, even their resident corn snake can be cute,,,from a distance but maybe the red panda and river otter are more your type. Spend an afternoon with the animals and learn all about them! 

P.S. you can even become a “Wild Parent” or give an Adopt-an-Animal package as a gift! Just imagine the look on your honey’s face when you tell them to look at black bear over there, “Snuggles” (you’ll call him) and say “we’ve adopted him!”

The Adopt-an-Animal program raises funds for habitat improvement, environmental enrichment and education. 

Then when you’re getting ready to go to sleep in your cozy bed and breakfast bed, you can have the stuffed animal you “adopted” under their pillow for a good giggle.
